Are you ready for the RETURN of Jesus Christ?
|
| |
Ready or not the rapture of the church is near and is in fact imminent. Most prophetic scholars believe that we are in the age of the lukewarm church and apostasy in the church is one of the signs of the return of Jesus Christ. Scripture is very clear that we are to be ready for His return and we should be looking forward to it.
Many people in the church today appear to be riding the fence of Christianity and in so doing they are unsure about the season of time. Lukewarmness is a trait that God shows displeasure with, for God says He would rather we be either cold or hot. Being lukewarm is distasteful to God and He will hold us accountable.
Please open your bible to Revelations chapter 3 and spend some time reading what was revealed to the Apostle John concerning the church of Laodicea in verses 14 through 21.
The church of Laodicea is the seventh church John wrote about and to many is considered the revelation about the condition of the church during the last days and or period of time called the end times. This revelation concludes with verse 22 in these words, " He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches". Take your time as you study and meditate on the mentioned verses.
Apostasy means a falling away and is signified by those in the church who have once tasted and lived a dedicated life towards God and then over a period of time have allowed themselves to prioritize God to a lesser commitment and in some cases negate their responsibility to God altogether.
The book of Jude reminds us to contend earnestly for the faith. To contend is to strive in combat and earnestly is to be serious and intent. To sum up would be to say, Let nothing get in my way as I accomplish my goal. But sadly for many in the church the pleasures, pressures and busyness of life has taken our eyes off the goal and thus we have become lukewarm and possibly could be considered apostates.
We must humble ourselves to the place that God becomes our focus in life. Our job, our love life, our money, our leisure time, our possesions are all to take second place to our creator. I am not refering to a religious fanatic or someone who shuts themselves off to the world. I am refering to one who takes seriously the word of God and their relationship to their creator. This of course takes careful observance of our priorities.
I bring lukewarmness and apostasy up for two reasons.
First, to kindly remind the church that we need to desire a "Better country, that is a heavenly one" (Hebrews11:16) This is an exercise of faith!
Second, to kindly remind the church that the Rapture of believers in the church may indeed hinge on whether or not they are Hot, Not lukewarm or cold.(Rev.3:16)
The questions we need to ask ourselves is this.
Is the rapture of the church happening either Pre or Mid Tribulation and our being caught up with Christ based upon being "HOT"?
or, If we are either "cold or lukewarm" will we have to endure the full tribulation period?

Boarding passes are free on RAPTURE airlines.... "Flying more people at one time than any other airline".
Do you need a ticket? or, are you content in going through the most horrible events that some of the seven year tribulation period of time will bring on this earth?
